Greg Cuellar [kway-yar] is a Mexican-American/Lipan Apache actor based in Los Angeles, known for his dynamic stage presence and commitment to new work development.

In 2025, he will perform in Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP at The Guthrie Theatre and the world premiere of INITIATIVE at The Public Theater.

Greg can be seen guest-starring on NEW AMSTERDAM (NBC) and in the film BEAUTY OF A BLANK SPACE (2022 Audience Award at Austin Film Festival). Select New York theater credits include playing Dromio of Syracuse in COMEDY OF ERRORS (Classic Stage), Jeremy O. Harris’ THE FEELS…(KMS), I WANNA FCK LIKE ROMEO AND JULIET* (New Light Theatre Project), PLAY ON! Shakespeare Festival (CSC/OSF), and IT’S ONLY A PLAY opposite Broadway legends Kristine Nielsen and Julie Halston, directed by Tony-nominated Kevin Cahoon (George Street Playhouse). He also voiced Ferdinand in THE TEMPEST starring Jay O. Sanders for Next Chapter Podcasts.

Greg’s skill in narrative dissection has made him a sought-after presence in new work development, most recently in workshops for Tony-winning Page 73, The Public's Emerging Writer's Group, and the Broadway-bound musical adaptation of Black Swan, directed by Tony-winner Rachel Chavkin. Additional development credits include projects with Apple TV, Playwrights Realm, The Lark, Trans Theatre Lab, The Civilians, and more.

Originally from St. Louis, MO, Greg trained and performed early on with Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, and the Center of Creative Arts. He toured cross-country with Metro Theatre Company and devised theater with historically underserved local communities for Gitana Productions. For his accomplishments in regional theater, Greg was awarded the Graduate Arts Award from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, providing him with a full ride to graduate school.

He received his MFA in Acting from Columbia University as a Bob Hope Acting Fellow and further trained with Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, Fiasco Theatre, and Linklater Voice.

Behind the camera, Greg has worked extensively in both production and unscripted casting for Amazon, Yahoo! Finance, The New York Times, SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Tastemade, the CW, HBO, and the Emmy-winning Creative Content Group.
